From Heartland Dreams to Academic Brilliance
Discovering Passion and Purpose
Originating from the Midwest, Dr. Tomlinson's early life was shaped by voracious reading, tree-climbing adventures, and excelling as a soccer goalie. Her journey led her to Indiana University, where she graduated with honors in Biology. Eager to pursue her passions for skiing and climbing, she took a hiatus to live in Tahoe before embarking on her medical school dream at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, graduating in 2000.
Her medical journey took her to diverse communities across the United States, including a Family Practice Internship in Idaho and an OB/GYN residency at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque. In 2008, she made Summit County, Colorado, her home and founded a clinic in Buena Vista.

Overcoming Adversity With Resilience
Driven by a diagnosis of a degenerative joint condition, Dr. Tomlinson chose a unique path, embracing a nomadic lifestyle as a traveling doctor. Roaming the Western United States in an RV with her husband and faithful dog, she was able to hike and bike, connecting with people and honing her medical skills along the way.

With experiences in various states and communities, Dr. Tomlinson returned to Colorado with a wealth of insights and a commitment to serve the unique medical needs of Summit, Chaffee, and Eagle Counties. Her return symbolizes not just a homecoming, but a dedication to the people she cares for and the communities she loves.
